I was surprised (and pleased) to catch a message from the very cool but extremely busy Kommie last night .. I was even more surprised and pleased to find out that today is the 1st Anniversary of the [OwP]!

on 18 June 2001, Kommie established the [OwP] as an organisation that would promote team play, good manners and camaraderie amongst players on public servers. We took the time to reflect on the evolution of the [OwP] and it's direction over the coming year.

Kommie told me that despite other commitments pulling him away, he was very happy with the current shape of the [OwP] and was looking forward to the broadening of our horizons (he had noted the MoH thread in the forums).

Now is an exciting time for us! With so many things bubbling just below the surface it's difficult to decide what to move on next! We've already made inroads into other mods, such as CS and Firearms, and we have every intention of moving on to the big hitters like MoH and RtCW. What with all that as well as the "Scouts" (top secret youth wing, all hush-hush at the minute), Bismarck coming on board to handle team games, and hopefully soon we will start on training sesisons, we are stronger than ever and look set to make a huge impact on the gaming world!

Of course, none of this can happen without you, the members and the players. Kommie, FNG and I fully appreciate and are very grateful for your continued support, and hopefully in one year's time ... we will be known as THE ALL FPS Teamplay Organisation!!

Once again, congratulations to FNG, Galdo, Bismarck, Reineri, X-Terminator, Marius, Jester, Orange, Wardog, Marine, Touch of God, Snake, Nick and Chris .. but most of all congratulations to YOU!

[OwP] - the Front Line for friendly games - 365 days and counting!

Members are encouraged to wear their [OwP] tags in game whilst playing Medal of Honour. I can't release full details yet but we hope toa MoH arm of [OwP] soon!

In case you'd fallen down a large hole and been teleported to an alien world full of floating mosters firing bolts of coloured lightning at you, forcing you to elimenate them and then strike a deal with shady government organisations to secure your survival ... I've returned to the fold.

I shall assume the post of Theatre Commander, which basically means I will adopt executive authority on all matters DoD. I shall report directly to FNG.

As my first act after reinstatement, I urge you to go to this page and donate to a British children's charity for free!

I'd also be grateful for links to other similar sites, and hope to compile an endorsed list for the site.
