[OwP] Affiliated Server Guidelines

For the OwP to achieve its goals a network of co-operating servers is necessary. This consists of OwP managed servers and affiliated servers. By signing up as an affiliated server the server owner/admin is committing that server to support the aims and ideals of the OwP, as defined in the mission statement. They are also stating that the server rules will reflect the OwP Code of Conduct and that the admins will behave in a manner befitting the Admin Code of Conduct.

They are not:

1. Granting the OwP or its members any form of control over the server.
2. Agreeing to comply with OwP-wide bans. These may be requested, but will be left to the discretion of the individual server administrators.
3. Committing to participation in future OwP schemes/events.

Our pledge to you

The OwP are committed to the enhancement of gameplay and community on all affiliated servers, and to working in partnership with servers to achieve these aims. We will endeavor to offer any assistance we can, both technical and advisory.

Services

1. OwP-wide bans.

We will, at our discretion, request a player ban on all OwP servers. We will only do this for cheats or repeated/extreme breach of server rules. Such action will only be taken with the support of evidence ie, software cheat detection, screenshots, demos or log excerpts. Ban requests should be handled via e-mail (see contacts below), do NOT post in the forum. A banned player will have the right to appeal. If there is any doubt we shall err on the side of caution.

2. Shared ban list.

We are currently working towards providing an automated shared ban list. This is only for the sharing of software detected bans, and servers will be able to act as contributor only.

3. Others.

We are currently laying the foundations to support other services, we will let you know what as soon as we can.
